About Nova

Nova Kingsley writes dark romance about power, secrets and the rules people make so they can break them.

Nova Kingsley is a pen name. Her debut, Everything I Told Her, is a Chicago office romance told in several voices: a project manager who needs her job, an executive who isn't allowed to want her, and a new friend who listens very carefully.

Her favorite place to write about is after dark, up in a glass tower, where someone has already broken rule number one.

Office Rules

What you can expect from a Nova Kingsley book:

  1. Dark is a mood, not an excuse. The tension is high, the lines are drawn, and consent matters on every page.
  2. The heat is earned. Slow burn first, then spicy. Adults 18+ only.
  3. Everyone has a reason. Even the ones who do wrong.
  4. No surprises you didn't sign up for. Content warnings are always up front.
  5. Rules are made to be negotiated. Preferably on a cocktail napkin.

AI transparency

I think readers deserve to know how a book is made, so here it is plainly:

  • The book. Everything I Told Her was written with the help of AI tools. I revised and edited the manuscript myself, and I formatted it myself.
  • The images and clips. The cover art, the pictures on this website and the short video clips on social media are AI-generated. They show no real people, and any brands or places in them are made up.
  • The story. All characters, companies, hotels and places in the book are fictional.
